SummaCare has earned a 4 Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) - Accreditation
SummaCare holds the highest accreditation of "Excellent" from NCQA for Medicare HMO/POS products. NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality. The accreditation survey evaluates the systems and processes that make up a health plan, as well as the actual results the plan achieves in key aspects of care, service and efficiency.

SummaCare is recognized in Ohio by the Health Industries Research Company as a health plan with the "Most Effective Disease Management Programs" for asthma, heart failure and diabetes.
